Hi my beloved Juying bandsmen!! =) Its like 2 days away

to 6th April 2009. Yea your judgement day..SYF!!

How are u guys feeling rite nw?? Nervous? Excited?

I know your feelings rite now are all mixed up. I felt the same

way before.. Its ok to feel nervous bt nt too much ok??

Ya on behalf of the seniors, Juying Symphonic Band alumni,

I would like to wish All the very best to each and

everyone of you! We will support all of u from everywhere

and pray the very best for you guys.We are supporting u

guys from our heart although most of us are busy with our own

life and unable to support u guys at the Singapore Conference

Hall... Im deeply sad because i am not be able to see you

guys on the day itself. I have to go for my school orientation

camp. OUH MAN wrong timing...haiz...never mind. I'll pray for

u guys..heheh

Ok Juying Bandsmen.. For today, tomorrow and

on the day itself, BE MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY prepared

aitez. Remember don't let your fears or nervousness overcome u...

U must overcome them. Picture the event on your mind.

On that day, its only between you, Mr Goh n your score.. Don't

need to bother wat's infront of u.. Pretend there's nothing..

No audience...No judges... Do not fidgit when playing..Do not

make unneccesory noises..Don't tap your feet..don't do mouth

counting or hand counting or watever..hahah cuz i saw u

did dat in band room especially percussion players..Don't be

KPO look at ur friends.. If your friends make mistake, just ignore

aitez .. Up instruments together...BE SHARP! BE ALERT!

BE CONFIDENT! (bt not too confident or too complacent)

Sit hallf a chair...do not slouch..Eyes on conductor: Mr Goh

( he is your "driver" ). If u are confident, Mr Goh will be confident...

he needs u...He needs the moral support from u guys!! Show to

Mr Goh dat u are confident...give him the confident n assurance...

He needs that!!

Take care of your health..no sweet drinks...

no sleeping late at nite... U need ample rest.. Do not play vigorous

games, worried that u might injured yourself.. So don't!!

Before boarding the bus, check your instruments, music file, scan

through your music score, uniform ( including ur hair style..

make sure its neat..girls clip ur fringe...guys comb ur hair properly..)

make sure u tuck in properly, bow tie, hair n collar ribbon..stockings,

guys black socks..girls u all know wat u must wear..shoes...

Percussion : check all the sticks that u need for both songs..accessories..

write it down in a piece of paper n put it all in the black bag.

Make sure u all know and stand by which sticks to use for wat song,

which part of the song.. Band/Drum Major/QM: remember conductor's

score and baton..SL: Don't forget to bring Tuner.. In the tuning room,

listen to Mr Goh.. I emphasize again..LISTEN..FOLLOW

INSTRUCTIONS..ALERT...BE SHARP n Be CONFIDENT. Make

sure u all are in tune..

Trombone be careful of ur slide positions..

3RD trumpet remember the notes that Mr Goh pointed out.. Flute don't

drag the timing at the part (i can't remember exactly which part haha)..

Remember the secret recipes : Articulation, Dynamics, Emotion,

Timing..when playing do no only listen to urself...listen to others also..

remember u are fighting in this war as a BAND...Don't drag the timing,

Look at Mr Goh.. Play with GUSTO n FEELINGS...BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS! BE CONFIDENT! ALERT! BE SHARP!

ALL THE VERY BEST JYSB!!! U CAN DO IT!! GIVE UR VERY BEST!

Keep ur spirit up high! Bring pride to the school...to yourselves...to the

band n to Mr GOh!!! Spirit mesti ada beb.. hahah WITH PRIDE AND

PASSION! HURRAH! ONE BAND! ONE SOUND! I LOVE U JYSB =)

of the results. with the rest of the alumnus supporting,

hey JYSB

1 more day till our syf.its the judging day. and a big day

for each and every one of us. well majority of us is experiencing

this for the first time. i would understand you would be nervous.

well dont be ok.its our show. lets rock the stage.whats more, we are

the last band. :D remember what the seniors said, although the hall

will be filled with audience, there is only us, our instrument, the score

and the most important of all, Mr.Goh, our conductor. lets just

concentrate on that. :D remember, we are playing music.feel the music,

move along. watch out the dynamics. lets make minimum mistakes ok. :D

remember our target, min-silverbut lets try for GOLD! :DD lets play

what we have been practicing.all the effort that we have put in for

the past few months. :D lets play well and beautiful music. :D its all

about musicianship :D HAHremember.... :D with pride and passion.
